Day Care / Child Care Services

One of the most difficult things as a parent is finding childcare you can rely upon and trust. Parents in Central Montana are fortunate, however, because they have access to childcare resource and referral services offered by the Human Resources Development Council (HRDC).

Located in Lewistown, Central Montana HRDC covers a six-county area, including Fergus, Judith Basin, Petroleum, Wheatland, Golden Valley and Musselshell counties. Parents in need of child care services may call HRDC for assistance with finding suitable child care providers, tips on how to determine whether caregivers offer quality services, and information about assistance available to help cover the costs of child care.

Child care providers, too, can benefit from HRDC resource and referral services through assistance in making contacts with parents, participation in small business loan programs, continuing training, business education, resource library materials, and information pertaining to state laws regarding operating a child care facility.

HRDC is located in Suite 203 on the second floor of the Centennial Plaza building at 300 First Ave. N. in Lewistown. Their office hours are 8 a.m. to noon and 1-5 p.m., Mon.-Fri. For more information, call HRDC at (406) 535-7488 or, from outside Lewistown, at (800) 766-3018.
