Fergus County Office of Disaster & Emergency Services (DES)

The Fergus County Office of Disaster & Emergency Services (DES) is responsible for coordinating an emergency services system which includes all four phases of emergency management: mitigation, preparedness, response, and recovery. The DES office coordinates the Local Emergency Planning Committee meetings, maintains the county's Emergency Operations Plan, and activates the Emergency Operations Center as needed.

The office coordinates the Local Emergency Planning Committee and works to support local emergency management offices and encourage inter-jurisdictional cooperation. The office also maintains the Emergency Operations Plan for the county and works with local organizations to keep the plan up to date.

Office Hours: 8:00am- 5:00pm, Monday - Friday
