hey, lewistown isn't too shabby... i love it out there. it's a utopia compared to what most people are used to. just chill out about the kids...let them do what they want. growing up is a time to have fun and learn from it. let them do their own thing.

I am glad to see so many people besides myself miss central Montana. I have told my born and bred Southern Indiana husband that if he ever went ot Montana he would never want to leave. I hope this summer I can prove it to him. He thinks he likes the beach. I graduated in 69 from Winifred. I saw a few names I reconized here, and will contact a few soon. My cousins still live in Montana, but my family lives in Wisconsin. That is why I haven't been back for so long. Roxy

Hey everyone, you all probably know me, so I'm gonna give all ya kids out there a little bit of advice. Never, ever run away from home, under any sircumstances. I did, I now I miss my family so much, along with my friends. I used to live in Lewistown, and now I'm here, and it sucks. Just remember, your parent's will always love you no matter what you do, but treat them with respect because someday something might happen and you will never see them again. I love my mom, dad and sister and I don't get to see them very often, maybe two times a month. And its hard. So take some advice from a teenager that knows, if you have family problems get some help, but don't run away. sarah

Hello to anyone in Lewistown. I am doing research on a famous athlete of the 19th century, Edward Payson Weston. He died in 1929 and his NY Times obituary states that his daughter, a Mrs. Frank J. Hazen and her son, Richard, lived on a ranch near Lewistown. I know it is a shot in the dark, but if anyone knows these people or any of their relatives, please email me. Or, can anyone guide me on who to write/email/fax in Lewistown to get some information on the Hazens. Weston was a world-famous walker and very well-know in the late 1800s to early 20th century. He deserves to be discovered anew. Many thanks to anyone who could help. KD

My response to the the previous "unknown teen." Hit your 30's, maybe get through college or not, have kids, move immediately to the "big city". You'll be missing those "boring days". If you don't thank some of the alumni writing to this site didn't think that at one time you'd be wrong. But listen to them sing now. There are days I'd give an arm or leg to just simply be picking up a rum hot n tot at the Dash Inn or cruisin the drag with my buds. Hang in there, you'll be out in no time wishing you were back home. Enjoy the free lunch at home for now cause believe me your wallet will be drained soon enough.

lewistown is boring. there isn't anything to do here. other than get drunk and smoke dope. maybe some adults should sponsor a dance. or a kegger. preferably a kegger. but just so all you folks know, lewistown blows. and if you're from california, GET OUT! -k- that's my opinion, someone do something about it.

Hi my name use to be Linda Archbold and I am really glad I found this spot on the internet. I went to 4 different high schools and the only year I ever felt like I belonged to a school and was part of it was when I did my Sophmore year 1968-1969. Everyone was so nice and friendly towards me. My dad worked fo r Boeing on the Minuteman Missile Program and that is how I got to Lewistown and it was also the reason I had to leave to move to Everett, Wa June of 69. I finally graduated from Minot High in ND. My heart broke into a million peices when I had to leav e my great friends. If any of you remember me from that one short year, I would love to hear from you.

Nice web site, but that's not Crystal Lake in the picture? I grew up in Lewistown, best place on earth, a little cold in the winter thou. Hey, if you see my mom, Mary Hayes walking round down town say hi. See you all when I retire.

Hello all! My father (Bruce Sr.) was born close to Novary in 1927. They moved into Lewistown I think in 1930-32. Dad served in the Army during WWII and after he got out in '46 he worked for Woolworth's. In '48 he took a job with Amerada (Hess) petroleum and travelled the US for the next 21 years. He met my mother in Great Bend, KS in 1950, they married in Williston, ND in '52. My sister was born in Akron, CO in 1954, and I came along in 1965 while they were based in Los Banos, CA. We moved to Kansas in 1970, after Dad's crew was dissolved while we were in Jasper, AL. My folks still reside in Great Bend, about 120 miles NW of Wichita. Dad took a job with the REA in Great Bend and retired there after 23 years. Dad is not online but he would sure be tickled to hear from some of you folks. If any of you remember any of the Wendt clan, email me and I will pass it along! BTW, great to see you online!

I "went home" for the first time when my former husband and I drove into the Judith Mts. to Lewistown AFS. We lived on base for almost 2 yrs (1968-70). I worked in the Education Office and truly loved the area as well as the Montana people. We roame d almost every inch of those mountains in an old clunker of a jeep and made many lovely friends. I still stay in contact with a number of the people stationed there and the local residents and would very much like to hear from others. Yes, the mountains and the people can get into your blood and heart!

This is a nice looking web page, I like the picture but where is it? I don't remember seeing that lake view before. I lived in Lewistown for 30 years and try to get back as often as I can. Now that my mother is back hopefully it will be more frequent. Hello to all my fans!!

I lived in Lewistown for about 1 year, years ago in 1962 - 1963, during the Minuteman Program. As a city kid from Seattle who lived in Great Falls for 6 months prior to moving to Lewistown, I had never had a white Christmas or lived so far away from th e "luxeries " of the city until then. I loved it and hated to leave. I thought it was a magical place and I'm sure it still is.

I was surprised to find a "Lewistown, Montana" web-site and a very nice one at that. I was born in Lewistown back in February of 1969. My father was stationed at the Air Force radar site that was there. Is the base still there? Even though I was a very young age when my dad retired from the Air Force and we moved to Arkansas, I still remember quite a bit about that beautiful place. Growing up I would often ask my parents when we could go back to Lewistown. Even today, when I get together with my two older brothers, we talk about going back to Lewistown. We have Lewistown in our blood and from what I have read on this web page, we are not alone. My life is kind of hectic right now and with a child of my own on the way, it is going to get even more hectic. But someday I WILL return to Lewistown, Montana! Would love the hear from ANYBODY up there in Lewistown.

We had a family reunion in Lewistown this summer and it was fantastic. Even though I left town when I was six, it will always be my home town. Say hi to my mother, Jane McEwen, if you see her walking around down town. She just moved back to town aft er being gone 30 years.

I lived in a city one time where you smelled the water, and tasted the air.... A thought occured to me that if you were going to be broke anyway, at least back home you didn't have to fight the traffic... I graduated Fergus High School in ' 70 and went to see some of the sights. In 1984 I came home and bought the shop that I still operate, after all, Lewistown always was and still is home to me (unless you want to mention Salt Creek) This is where m y family and friends are, except for ones I have in other places. I would like to hear from anyone that I know that just happens onto this site. Send an e-mail. Mick Jimmerson Mikerson@tein.net
