Feeder Cattle Weighted Average Report for 09/02/2010
 
Receipts:  544    Last week:  1,360    Last Year:  403
 
   Compared to last week:  Feeder cattle and feeding cows not well tested.  
Slaughter cows and bulls sold mostly 1.00-3.00 lower.  Demand moderate to good.  
Approximately, 25 percent feeder cattle; 60 percent slaughter cows and bulls 
with the balance feeding cows, bred cows, pairs and misc. cattle.  In the 
feeder supply, steers made up 24 percent and 76 percent heifers with 100 
percent over 600 lbs.  

   Feeder Steers:  Medium and Large 1:  708 lbs 116.25; 840 lbs 106.00.
   
   Feeder Heifers:  Medium and Large 1:  780 lbs 103.50; 886-892 lbs 100.00-
100.50; 906-989 lbs 98.00-101.50; 1015 lbs 99.75.
 
   Feeding Cows:  Medium and Large 1-2: 2-3 yrs old 995-1170 lbs 66.00-74.00; 
Young to Middle Aged 1070-1375 lbs 54.00-64.00.

   Cow/Calf Pairs:  Small and Medium 2:  3-6 yrs old 800-900/200-275 lbs 
525.00-540.00 per pair.

   Bred Cows:  Medium and Large 1-2:  2-4 yrs old 1185-1215 lbs early calvers 
860.00-875.00 per head.
