Programs
The Boys & Girls Club offers daily activities for our participants in the areas of social recreation, fitness and health, education, technology, nutrition, arts and crafts, and prevention. The Club consists of a recreation room, computer lab, art room, homework/activity room, teen room, and gymnasium.
In addition to programs in the areas listed above, we also provide all Club members a snack and dinner everyday after school for no extra charge (instead of dinner, we offer lunch in the summer).
A typical day at the Club would include:
- Have a snack upon arrival after school
- Participate in Power Hour (quiet homework time, educational activities, or prevention classes)
- Make a papier mache piñata in art class
- Play games in the computer lab
- Eat dinner at 6:00
- Play indoor hockey in the gym
- Play pool in recreation room until closing at 8:00
Summer Programming
The Lewistown Boys and Girls Club is excited to announce that we will be offering weekly summer camps for children 6 years old and up! Each weeklong camp will have a different theme and involve associated hands-on activities and field trips. In addition, campers will be able to participate in day-to-day activities in our computer lab, art room, gymnasium, and recreation room. The Club will be open Monday through Friday from 7:30am to 5:30pm. Each weeklong camp is only $25 per child, which also included lunch and snack everyday for no extra charge.
The following is a list of the weeks we will be having camp and their corresponding themes:
| June 16 | Green Thumb | July 21 | Nutrition & Cooking |
| June 23 | Agriculture | July 28 | Wildlife |
| June 30 | Arts & Crafts | August 4 | Sports & Games |
| July 7 | Human's Best Friend (Pet Care) | August 11 | Homestead Week |
| July 14 | How Does it Work? | August 18 | Nature Studies |
| |
| * Please note that the Club will be closed June 9 - 13 to prepare for summer programming. |
Space is limited and sign-up for each week is on a first-come-first-serve basis. The Club and the activities planned during the summer will only be made available to those children signed up for camp, so return your application as soon as possible to ensure that your child(ren) will be able to participate in all of the fun activities planned.
If a family is unable to pay the entire amount for their child(ren) to attend camp, scholarships will be made available. To apply for a scholarship, please submit a letter of request to the Club as soon as possible indicating your family size, household income, amount of scholarship requested, and reason scholarship is needed. Each scholarship request will be reviewed by a committee and a written reply will be sent to each applicant indicating if their request has been approved and for what amount.
Specific activities and field trips for each week will be made available by each Wednesday of the preceding week. Most field trips will be planned for the morning, so campers will need to be at the Club by 9:00am to participate in any off-site events.
To sign up your child(ren) to participate, simply fill out the attached form and return to the Club with your first week’s payment. Subsequent payments will need to be made each Thursday prior to the week your child is signed up for a session.
If you have questions or need additional information, please call the Club at 538-2257.
