A note from Denise…

 

Spring is officially here!  I’m sure this finds everyone looking for their sandals and shorts, (except for the teens, as they have been wearing them all winter!)  Gardening and bar-b-queing is on a lot of our minds.  I love this time of year!  I think we need to take time as the new buds begin to blossom and the birds begin to return and chirp, to reflect on all our beautiful surroundings here in Central Montana, and be very thankful for it.  Happy spring to you all!

FCE Spring Council

 

FCE Spring Council is scheduled to meet on Thursday, April 26 at Harry’s on the Hill.  Registration will be at 6:00 with the meal at 6:30.  Cards will be sent to the club Presidents with registration details.

 

Spring Classes Offered by Extension

 

Three classes are being  offered through Adult Community Education this spring by the extension staff.  Great Barbecue’n, (May 10),  will be taught by Denise Seilstad, and will feature many great back yard recipes that participants  can take home with them.  General Horticulture , (April 12 & 26), will be taught by Darren Crawford and the Master Gardeners, and will cover a variety of horticulture topics.  Dutch Oven Cooking, (May 3), will be taught by Bertie Brown and will feature the techniques of Dutch Oven cooking and also will feature many recipes to take home.  Both cooking classes will be hands on learning and participants will not go home hungry.  For more information and to register, call Adult Community Education at 535-9022.
